Diplodia is a fungus that bothers conifers such as Austrian, Black and Red Pine all over Massachusetts. You may notice this as black dots at the base of the needle. The needles of your conifer may eventually yellow and drop. If untreated, your pine will not only become aesthetically displeasing, but it may also die.

Bug Busters will assess your tree and treat it if it’s worth saving. Typically we’d treat it with fungicides, advise you to clean up your needles, and avoid drought conditions.
