Nectria Coccinea

If your beech tree has bark that is cracked or oozing, your valuable tree may be infected with the Nectria Coccinea fungus, commonly known as Beech Bark Disease. Treatment for this problem is not an exact science. Even researchers disagree as to the exact course of action to take.
